COUNTY SCENE

Hard luck to Matt Doyle, James Stafford and Stephen Lyne and the Wexford u21 football team who were defeated in the #eirgrid U-21 Football Quarter Final by a goal. Final score 1-6 to 0-6 to Offaly.

Well done to Mark Fanning, Gary Moore and the Wexford senior hurlers who had an impressive win over Kerry in Innovate Wexford Park on Sunday.
The Wexford Senior footballers undefeated league run also continued on Sunday with a win over Wicklow. Well done to James Stafford, Michael O’Regan, Rob Tierney and John Leacy.

Leinster Hurling League U15

We had another great come back in the Leinster hurling league against Naas on Saturday afternoon and this time it was our u15s. The boys showed plenty of hurling ability with Tim Gilhooly scoring probably the club’s point of the year so far, running down the sideline with no intention of crossing over it and straight over the bar! Jake Travers’ goal at the end gave us a one point victory 4:8 to 2:13 to set us up for an away game to Myshall in Carlow in 2 weeks time.

ROAD TO CROKER

Our 14 camogie girls had a great day out in Croke Park on Sunday for the camogie All Ireland finals. We were one of 36 teams drawn to attend from 240 entries in the “Road to Croker” draw.
